Mabel was rescued in October 2018 from Dunadry.
She was found abandoned and had been repeated reported to various organisations over a couple of months by the public before Crosskennan were approached.
When she arrived at the sanctuary she had overgrown, curling hooves that made walking difficult and painful.
It was discovered that the damage to her legs wasn't as bad as first feared and with a trim she started showing much improvement.
Hope suffers with a calcium deficiency.
She also required a lot of dental treatment and was referred to an equine dentist and vet to help.
Mabel is living happily at the sanctuary with her neighbours in the Barn for compaionship.
