A Gentle Introduction to Horses & Ponies
Barn Buddies is a relaxed, hands-on equine experience designed for younger children, while welcoming participants of all ages who would benefit from a quieter, slower-paced experience.
Although particularly suited to children aged 3–5, Barn Buddies is open to everyone. It’s ideal for first-time horse lovers, families, individuals with additional needs, or anyone who prefers smaller groups and enjoys learning at their own pace while spending peaceful time around horses and ponies.
Unlike a formal lesson, every participant is free to choose how they spend their time. There is no pressure to complete every activity.
Some may spend the whole session grooming a pony.
Tickets
Under 3 (Non-Participating)
For children under 3 who are accompanying a participating family member and are not taking part in the activities. A free ticket is required so we can accurately manage numbers. If your child under 3 would like to participate in the activities, please book a Barn Buddies Participation Ticket instead.

Barn Buddies Participation
For one participating child or adult. Includes full participation in the session and admission for one accompanying parent, guardian, carer or support worker. Recommended for participants aged 3+, although younger children are welcome to participate if booked on a participation ticket.
