Equine Day 2022

Come along to meet some of our equines and learn more about what is available in Northern Ireland for your equine friends!

We are in the process of confirming attendees for our Equine day on the 21st of May this year.

So far we are pleased to announce that we have the following individuals presenting on the day;

  • Linda Van der Horst will be explaining equine bodywork and sure foot pads, as Northern Ireland's only Sure Foot Pad practicioner.

  • Westfeild Equine Reiki will be attending to demostrate and talk about equine reiki and the benefits to horses.

  • Shirely from Top Spec Feeds will be here to talk over weight management, feed plans and how Top Spec can help you look after your own equines at home.

  • Lesley Sharp will be attending along with CLAS Rescue and gentle Giant Kenny and potentially his little friend CLAS rescue Pip. Demostrating some natural horsemanship and how you can have some fun on the ground with your horses, of all sizes!

  • Also meet some of our equine residents up close in our grooming corner.

  • Guided tours of the sanctuary to see some of our Rescued horses, ponies and donkeys and learn their stories.

We are looking for more individuals or businesses who can join us on the 21st to demostrate either a product that benifits equines or else a buisness. Our theme this year is Equine Wellbeing so it's all about making sure our equine friends are healthy both physically and mentally.

We are also looking to promote general care. So if you would like to get involved please get in touch. Email office@crosskennanlane.org.uk . We are not charging for stands/tables; this is instead a chance for those smaller businesses who work with equines in Northern Ireland to share what they do, and potentially pick up some new customers, our main aim though is to share and hopefully educate a little.

...And if you would like to attend the day just as a participant, we look forward to welcoming you onto the yard on Saturday the 21st of May at 12:30pm until 2:30pm.

Tours of the yard will be available, as well as a chance to get up and close with some of our equine residents in the grooming corner. If the ponies are in agreement we will also have some pony games for people to take part in.

All ages welcome.

Please do register your interest either on our website or facebook page to give us a better idea of numbers planning to attend. While this is not a charged event there may be some areas were we ask for a donation to help with the work we are doing.
