Our Second Ark Appeal of the year and we are dedicating it to Tim. He needs your help to keep him healthy and happy at the sanctuary.
Tim came to us many years ago; after quite literally following Lyn, the manager, home one day. His owner had been having some trouble with him and so Lyn agreed to take him on. Since then trouble has followed Tiny Tim around; just like he follows Lyn.
He has had numerous surgeries over the years to make repairs to his stomach and guts when he has ingested things he shouldn't. Tim is very fond of eating plastic but unfortunately, it isn't as fond of his insides and as of his last surgery Tim has been warned he is on his last go. He really is a dog with nine lives though and every time volunteers and staff have thought it the end for him he has pulled through and bounced back.
He is a much loved permanent feature on the yard, even if sometimes he doesn't know it. He is quick to go into action and do his duty as a brilliant guard dog when strangers invade but he is a sweetheart underneath his thick fluffy coat, one who adores being loved and petted.
He has his best friends in the yard, lots of them, and has had many over the years who have come and gone. At present his best pal is Elva who he spends most of his days outside playing with and Priscilla the cat with who he curls up with in the evenings. He truly adores his cats, and they are his. Tim has helped bring on so many difficult cats over the years, he's also worked with many rescue dogs and even some chickens too!
He really is a special old boy, with a heart of gold. His severe nerves can often keep him in the shadows but when he's with his good friends he is the life and soul of any party. We all adore him in the yard and do all we can to ensure his days are filled with happiness, fun, and only good things.
Due to his age, health, weight issues (because he loves to eat!), and that rather dodgy stomach of his which has more scars than stomach; he is on a very strict diet as well as some supplements to help with any joint pain or stiffness.
It costs the sanctuary £64.80 on average at present to feed Tim for a month. That is £2.16 a day. Yes, he is an expensive boy.
Can you help us cover his costs? £3 will feed and supplement him for a day! £16 will cover him for a week! £31 two weeks! £65 a full month!
Help keep the animals at Crosskennan safe, well, and fed. Help keep us afloat on the Ark.
