Learning Through Horses

At Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary, we offer transformative one-hour sessions where individuals can connect with our rescued horses and ponies in a unique and therapeutic environment. Each session is carefully crafted to meet the individual needs and goals of our clients, providing a personalized experience that fosters growth and development.

Our sessions begin with a sit-down discussion to understand your specific goals and aspirations for the session. We then move into interactions with our horses and ponies under the guidance of our experienced Equine Facilitated Interaction (EFI) facilitators. These interactions may include grooming, leading, and other hands-on activities that promote connection and learning.

Throughout the session, clients are encouraged to trust the process, embrace learning opportunities, and actively engage in the experience. While some individuals may experience immediate results, others may require multiple sessions to achieve their desired outcomes. Regardless of the timeline, our dedicated team is committed to supporting your journey every step of the way.

Our Learning Through Horses Programme utilizes Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)  to address a variety of personal goals. These sessions can be beneficial for enhancing self-awareness, improving communication skills, promoting self-care and responsibility, reducing anxiety, developing coping mechanisms, and boosting mood and overall wellbeing.

Sessions are priced at £40 each, with discounts available for multiple bookings. Group session costs may vary based on specific requirements and group size.

It's important to note that all income generated from these sessions directly supports the care and wellbeing of the horses and ponies at our sanctuary. By participating in our programme, you're not only investing in your own personal growth but also contributing to the welfare of our beloved animal residents.
