Advent Appeal - Day 10

Day 10 is a little late in the day as we have been very busy with the horses all day. We will update soon as we can on that, firstly though we promised our special old man that we would put out his appeal.

Thomas arrived with us back in October, and although we did try and find him a home he has a lot of specific needs that would be difficult to ask of a home. We aren't honestly sure how long he has left in this life but we are pleased to say after a lifetime straying he has taken to being a fireside lapcat like it was where he always belonged.

He lives in the Manager's home alongside fellow permanent resident cat Naughty Kitten. Unlike Naughty he is so sweet and gentle. He's a very old boy, late teens at the best guess. He is struggling with dinner a lot of the time and one of the staff bought him some of the Purina Gourmet Mon Petit, which are smaller sachets of some yummy food. They are perfect for him, quenching his appetite without giving him too much to try and chow down on at once.

He was just after his medicine and was curling up by the fire when we snapped the photo, out of the camera shot there is an empty box of the cat food, he kept poking it and looking at us; we got the message quickly.

So he let Stan have his appeal spot yesterday, we think it's only right he makes his appeal today.

You can buy the food online, we aren't sure which supermarkets stock it but we know you can pick it up in B&m's and Home Bargains. He isn't picky with the flavours.

It's approximately £2 for 6 sachets although it is cheaper for us to buy in bigger boxes if you would like to donate; a box of 48 sachets cost on average £12 to £15.

Thomas says he is happy to share with Seymour (our other older boy on the yard).

So can you help fill Thomas' belly?
